EU nationals wishing to begin their studies in the UK in 2020-21 face higher tuition fees, a reversal of the current practice which sees EU students who study at British universities pay the same tuition fees as UK students.
The UK government believes that state subsidies provided for EU nationals would no longer be justified after Brexit as they will not be likely to stay and contribute to the economy.
