Arrive by public transport
Vienna (OTS) – Also at this year’s Danube Island Festival (June 24 to June 26, 2022) the following applies: Caution, rigorous towing! According to ÖAMTC, access routes to the Danube Island must be kept clear at all times for emergency vehicles. Anyone who parks their vehicle in contravention of traffic regulations risks costs of well over 400 euros (towing and custody fees, charges and possibly cab).
Road users who do not want to go to the Danube Island Festival should, according to ÖAMTC, use the Prater Bridge (A23) or the North Bridge (subject to vignette). On Floridsdorfer-, Brigittenauer- and Reichsbrücke it can come to obstructions because of strong influx. Visitors to the festival are best advised to use public transport.
Utl.: Pay attention to the short parking zone regulations on Friday
The ÖAMTC experts draw attention to the short parking zone regulations (Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.) that will apply almost everywhere in the Vienna city area on Friday.
The ÖAMTC creates transparency in the services ÖAMTC app (www.oeamtc.at/app) and ÖAMTC route planner (www.oeamtc.at/routenplaner), where short parking or riparian zones, parking garages, parking spaces and Park&Ride are located.
