Vienna (OTS) – 82 SPORT 2000 retailers visited the Multisport Order Fair in Ohlsdorf, Upper Austria, from June 14 to 15 and got an overview of the product range for the spring and summer season 2023 from around 55 brands on the two order days. On an area of 2,000 square meters, the focus was on product innovations from the areas of running and team sports as well as from the footwear category. A good 40 percent of the total 239 SPORT 2000 retailers from Austria used the industry get-together to find out about the latest trends. More than 15 retailers traveled from the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the SPORT 2000 Austria headquarters. “After two pandemic years, I am particularly pleased that this year’s Multisport Order Fair was so well attended. For retailers in particular, seeing merchandise live and holding it in their hands is a decisive factor in pre-ordering. Digital order fairs can’t replace that,” says Dr. Holger Schwarting, CEO of SPORT 2000 Austria, seeing the clear advantage of presence order fairs. He also notes: “Both retailers, suppliers and our purchasing team benefit from the personal exchange. Our trade fair is now regarded as an industry meeting place.” A special highlight was the visit of Austria’s top athlete in the heptathlon, Ivona Dadic.
