Vienna (OTS) – Since today, with beginning of the local fair in Wels runs the action of DenkMalNeo “piece of jewelry instead of eyesore”. Inhabitants, owners and municipalities are called up to announce empty buildings, which are to be changed by a reorganization of the eyesore into a piece of jewelry.
The redevelopment experts from DenkMalNeo, led by managing director Helga Noack, are looking for a building or ensemble worthy of protection for which no utilization concept currently exists. The aim of the campaign is to develop versatile ideas for a place, a community or for the residents in order to revitalize the area.
The winner will receive a feasibility study from DenkMalNeo.

Deadline for entries is Monday, July 18, 2022.
Helga Noack: “Reducing soil sealing is increasingly becoming a matter of survival. The most effective antidote is to reduce vacancies in town centers. This is best achieved by preserving and revitalizing historic building fabric. The resulting social and identity-creating added value is a relevant “side effect”. With this action, we want to achieve more awareness and attention for this topic.”
DenkMalNeo is a holistic service provider for all aspects of historic and listed buildings and develops individual concepts that ensure the structural integrity and at the same time the economic viability of the property.
The joint venture of Rhomberg Bau Holding and the German specialist for listed buildings JaKo Baudenkmalpflege, based in Rot an der Rot in Upper Swabia, has been operating since August 2021 with an office in Vienna under the management of civil engineer Helga Noack.
