ÖVP security spokesman: Despite comprehensive answer to question, FPÖ spreads fake news against better knowledge

Vienna (OTS) – “The fact that the FPÖ once again spreads Fake News against their better judgment proves once and for all that they are no longer to be taken seriously as a party in their parliamentary work,” says ÖVP security spokesman Christian Stocker, who is stunned by the brazen defamation of FPÖ MP Hannes Amesbauer using his parliamentary immunity. The incident in question has already been comprehensively answered in several parliamentary inquiries. The rare presence of the Freedom Party in parliament could possibly be the reason why the FPÖ does not know the facts. “Amesbauer would be well advised to inform himself beforehand instead of throwing around fake news,” Stocker said.

The damage to the official car amounted to 500, – euros and that to the parked car was handled within the framework of the existing motor vehicle insurance – all police vehicles have been leased vehicles for many years. “The security doctrine of the FPÖ consists of spreading untruths – no more and no less,” concludes Christian Stocker.
