Vienna (OTS) – The women’s soccer match of the year from a domestic perspective: at the UEFA Women’s EURO, Austria will face Germany – the undisputed number one with eight European Championship titles – at the Brentford Community Stadium in London on Thursday, July 21, 2022, starting at 9:00 pm. ORF 1 will offer a five-hour soccer package, starting at 6:00 p.m. with another edition of “Heimspiel – Europa am Ball” and broadcasting Rapid’s Conference League qualifier against Lechia Gdańsk from Poland at 6:45 p.m. to set the mood.
Before that, starting at 6:10 p.m. and during the break of the Rapid game, the program will include current reports from London. Alina Zellhofer, Nina Burger and Elisabeth Tieber will be reporting from the European Championship studio. Commentator is Anna-Theresa Lallitsch, with Nadine Prohaska at her side. ORF SPORT + will additionally show the warm-up of both teams in the Brentford stadium from 20:15.
The UEFA Women’s EURO England 2022 is on ORF 1’s live schedule until July 31: For the first time, a women’s soccer tournament with all matches (with the exception of the parallel matches at the end of the group stage) will be broadcast completely and live on ORF 1.
