LH Mikl-Leitner: “Every venue has its special features and every cultural event gives us the opportunity to recharge our batteries”.

St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) – Experiencing art and culture throughout the province – that goes particularly well in the summer. One flagship event is the Theaterfest Niederösterreich – a total of 21 productions at 18 different locations can be attended this year, plus six productions as part of the “Theaterfest für Kids” offer. “Drama, musical, opera or operetta – the Theaterfest Niederösterreich truly offers an incredibly diverse repertoire for everyone,” said Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner about it on Sunday in the radio program “Niederösterreich im Gespräch”.

“There really is something for everyone,” said Mikl-Leitner, who herself has already attended several premieres and performances at this year’s theater festival. “It was a great experience every time. Think here of the festival in Weitra Castle, the premiere of ‘La Boheme’ in Klosterneuburg or the festival in Berndorf. Every venue has its special features and every cultural event also gives us the opportunity to recharge our batteries for the challenges that lie ahead.”

In the time of the pandemic, it was very important to the province of Lower Austria to be a reliable partner for all creative artists. That is why artists were given support in the form of grants, scholarships and advice. “Now culture can finally pick up full speed again. This is also noticeable at the theater festival, because wherever you go, you can feel great joy and euphoria: among the artists, among the organizers, and above all among the audience. This gives a lot of courage and strength for the way forward,” emphasized the Governor.

In Lower Austria, art and culture can be felt and experienced in every corner of the country. The governor recalled the current state exhibition in Marchegg, the state gallery in Krems or the music festival in Grafenegg. “Use the large culture offer with us in Lower Austria and connect you the culture attendance with the mad Kulinarik and catering trade here with us , so Mikl Leitner finally.
