Parliament wants EU funds for media and creative sector

In a letter send on Monday to EU Commissioners Thierry Breton and Mariya Gabriel, MEPs asked for additional financial support to the media and creative sector, so that the latter “get back on their feet.”

The Members of the Culture and Education committee in the European Parliament stressed that especially individual creators, culture SMEs and charities have been severely affected by the pandemic, as their status “often makes it harder for them to qualify for national or EU support schemes.”
