Greens: Lateral entry into Pädagog:innenberuf enriches the school
Vienna (OTS) – The fact that the summer school is now on a firm basis in terms of service law pleases the education spokeswoman of the Greens, Sibylle Hamann. “Student teachers have here the great opportunity to teach well accompanied and yet independently. With a salary of 30 euros per hour, this is also an attractive summer job,” says Hamann. Hamann is convinced that educators, children and young people will soon take it for granted that schools will be open during the last two weeks of vacation: “Being able to prepare for the start of the school year in a playful way and without pressure is a good offer for many.”
Hamann believes it is equally important for school operations that lateral entry into the teaching profession will be made much easier starting in the fall. “People who have gained experience in other professions can bring new perspectives to the classroom,” Hamann says, emphasizing, “This enriches the school!”
